Many forums do not even allow the mention of products, regardless the petty donation to use the site for commercial use is so low it's laughable. It would be helpful if you used the spell check on this site as well, there is actually one built in the software and you seem to bypass it often. The red underlining of words is a indicator it is in use and that words are being spelled incorrectly.

Yeah kinda lame if you ask me. Getting rid of my leaf, had something to post but didn't realize you need to pay the man to post in the classifieds. Forums are always better when they aren't money making properties. I've seen so many good car forums ruined by money hungry conglomerates that just buy up these sites and monetize them. (Or change to horrific themes, like this one). It's apparently good for business, but just straight up bad for the community. IMO.

I received an offer from one of those companies, and I declined. I have also been a part of car forums that died after they've been bought out, and didn't want that to happen. I decided to maintain ownership and run the forum by myself as I had from the start.

I added the account/membership upgrade feature a long time ago as a way for people to support the forum - and I wanted to give them something of value in return.

I wouldn't worry about it, he's still here. just venting out and not thinking it was a genuine person running the place, I guess. Mostly bark with no bite.

The small donation to be on the site and post classifieds seems to be quite a value IMO for the potential exposure. Not even worth noting the cost.

Also, I much prefer to support web sites I use often with small annual donations vs. tolerating continuous advertising streams on "free" sites.
