Are you dealing with the stealership or directly with NMAC? I'm thinking that NMAC is really screwing up by letting the dealers handle all the communications around these programs now.

C'mon Nissan. I'm standing here with $$$ to buy this car that's already in my driveway! Give me a call, return my email, something.

I've been dealing with NMAC. The first set failed delivery either because they lost it or because the USPS did. The second set... it turns out I didn't include the first page of the agreement, which has no page number or signature fields on it. I asked them to just print one and staple it, but I had to scan my backup set to PDF and email it, tonight. And hey! Fun fact about Foxit Reader: you can rotate a page right side up after you scan it, but when you save the file it still gets saved upside down, with no way to correct it...

I also agree NMAC is going to lose longer term by leaving this to the dealers. They have also not been clear, back in April I asked NMAC about incentives and they said there were not any from NMAC, we just needed to work with the dealers. I (mis)took that to mean it would be at residual/payoff, etc. So I missed an opportunity back then. (Should have been reading here!)

It's virtually impossible to get a buyout quote from many. In most dealerships there is only 1-2 people who work this space. It's hard to catch them, and harder yet to get a callback, much less a quote. There are some notable exceptions, one on the forum here, and Tim at Stone Mountain Nissan in Atlanta.

I do think there has been a significant sea change regarding the incentives. Which the dealers realize is not very attractive to lessee/buyers. So they don't put much time/priority into it.

I'll be turning mine in today, just could not get a deal going. Shame, as I have cash in hand.

Curious are you turning in the 13 or the 15? What was your tire situation?

I'm not thrilled about putting new tires on a car I'm giving back, yet I can't find comparable used ones due to the weird size and the requirement they be "Eco" tires.

There is NO requirement that they be LRR tires. You can use any non-snow tires that will pass the tread depth test.

Ok, that is good news, but I can swear there was a thread about them having to be LRR. I can't find it now though so it might just be imagination.

My paperwork says it just has to match the speed rating, which shouldn't be difficult at all.

Turned my 2011 with 2 regular tires plus 2 OEMs so not even a matching set although I think I got away with that one. FYI, on my 2013 due to a tire rotation interval experiment, two tires did not pass sidewall?? tread test and was billed $100 each but that was more than covered by the $500 forgiveness for getting another "Nissan" (does NOT have to be a LEAF)

That's another thing I could not find. No info on what the charges are. For $100 per tire, I would just leave these "racing slicks" on and pay the $400. It would be worth the small difference between the cost of buying cheap tires and the time I'd have to spend on it.

On a cost basis, I just put 4 cheapo tires on my gasser that my sister did for me so got the "family" discount and it was $383 out the door. Not sure what the discount was as she is required to line item everything and it all has a "base" charge that goes to the dealership (She works at a Ford Dealer) and then a charge that goes to the person doing the actual work which was likely my BiL who also works there.

Family is a good thing. :)

Wow, what a shame.

Bolt is now available in TX

Model 3 pushing forward

New Nissan Leaf announced in few months and...

They end the buyout incentive???

That is flat out incredible. They are going to get a flood of 15's back, including mine. And we were ready to buy it.
