I am currently getting close to the end of my 3 year lease on a 2013 Nissan Leaf SL with Premium Pkg and am looking to get the same car this time around in a 2016 model. Maturity date is Sept 21, 2016. The MSRP on the 2016 is dramatically higher on the SL than when I leased in 2013, so this is making it harder to match the $290/mo. current payment, though there are now some pretty decent rebates.
With the Chevy Bolt a few months off and the rumored 40 kWh 2017 Leaf in November, I am most likely going to just do the 6 month extension anyway, but just wanted to get some pricing on the current model.
The best I was able to find after checking with 3 dealers in SE Wisconsin, was as follows:
2016 Nissan Leaf SL with Premium Package
15K mi/year
$2000 down
36 months
$355/mo. out the door.
The other offers came in at $368/mo. and $373/mo. so they are all pretty close, but still higher than I would like to be. If I can get the payment under $300, I would consider a 2016, but I think I should just wait it out. Any one else have any feedback?
