Buying Manufacturer Show Car

Mon Jun 05, 2017 6:51 pm

I'm looking at a used 2015 leaf that was used as a manufacturer show car. It was only ever registered to Nissan, then sold at auction. It has low miles, under 1k and has never been titled to an individual. Would this car still be eligible for the $7500 federal tax credit?

Thank you,

If the car has ever been titled in any state, even to Nissan, the car is officially "used" and thus does not qualify for the Federal Tax incentive and almost always disqualifies it for any state/local ones as well.
