Buying a Used Leaf WIth a Replaced Battery

Tue Jul 11, 2017 9:38 am

I've just started my hunt for getting a used Leaf, and one that came up was this https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p ... tner=GAZ_0

The part I noticed the most was "Battery Replaced" in 2015. Do you think that was the main battery or is there some other battery they are talking about? Would the new battery be a lizard battery? Does having to replace a battery that soon look suspicious?

Normally you would not expect the traction battery to be replaced in a 1 year old LEAF, though I suppose anything is possible. My guess is that the small 12V battery was replaced.
