My 18' Leaf is expected to arrive on Jan 16th , 2018.
Are there any numbers available on the rebates/incentives being offered ?
What kind of Lease offers besides the one below might be out there for first time Leaser's? I've heard all the nightmares of

Sounds like a risk free reservation prompted OP to act first and think later.

I would think that will be a big event showing the first 2018 MY delivery. I did not see that anywhere on the news or on the Internet.

My Nissan dealer (twin cities) isn't getting any 2018 Leafs until March or April.

The Leaf marketing emails I received in mid-December 2017 had the subject "Enjoy savings starting 1/23/18 on the 2018 Nissan LEAF". The offers are for 0% financing or example lease prices.

If 1/16/18 is a bust, I'd imagine we'd hear something on 1/23/18.

Please don't PM me with Leaf questions. Just post in the topic that seems most appropriate.

Or 1/30
Or 2/6
...

How late can Nissan be with this car? They are the ones touting how far ahead of the competition they are because of their years of experience. The launch of the 2018 Leaf is not a great display of their competence.

Meanwhile, GM announced the launch/roll out schedule of thee Bolt 6 months ahead of time, and nailed the execution.

I won't even go into Tesla's Model 3 roll out (which was originally scheduled for early 2016, let's remember. That's deliveries, not just the elaborate reveal / reservation opening that we had).

2018 Leaf has been shipping in Japan since Oct 2017.

To be fair, I don't think we've heard any official date from Nissan.

The press releases just say early 2018. Examples below:

http://nissannews.com/en-US/nissan/usa/ ... c-vehicles

Some of these might be archived at http://archive.org/web/, so one can see if Nissan's made changes...

No, nothing official that I know of. So the car is not late by Nissan's measure. However, compared to the competition, it is late.

In the end, it won't really matter much a year from now. Whoever has the car that best fits the market will be the leader. But there is room for all three (and more, when others are ready to compete).
