I just posted a review of my 2012 Nissan Leaf for anyone interested in buying a Leaf in a hot desert climate. Enjoy!

Nice write up. I have the following comments.

Not everyone will be as lucky as you to get a brand new battery. I suspect when more leases are being returned, a 8-bar battery could just be replaced with a 10-bar battery, with Nissan hoping that it will just get the car past the 5-yr 60k mile limit.

And Nissan didn't offer the additional battery warranty out of good will or anything like that. It was the result of a class action lawsuit.
2011 Leaf: reserved 4/2010, delivered 3/2011 (VIN 9XX), sold 2/2014.
EVP Blink EVSE installed 4/2011.
OpenEVSE installed 3/2014.
3.22 kW DC Solar PV.
