But for worst-case let's assume the socket and wiring are not up to snuff - I still think that would not add much more to the required modification, and that the difficulty of the upgrade is overestimated.
Oh, I think the receptacle in the LEAF is highly likely capable of 30A ... which is all that's needed for 6.6 (6,600W/220V) ... not sure about the wiring and charger (see above speculations post from mwalsh) ... but my initial "beef" (sorry) was with the 80A-rated presumption. I just wanted to know where that info may have come from. It seems very unlikely to me.
