LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa just announced a new pilot program this week that will provide rebates of "up to $2,000" on home EV charging stations -- to the first 1,000 applicants

read the comments there. Many of those folks simply hate us and what we are doing.
I doubt you can win them over with love and marketing. this is a partisan divide and on the other side are zealots.
 
can anyone figure out why they ALSO want you to have a second EV-only meter?
I have whole-house TOU and, of course, I am going to charge, on the night base rate.

In the draft materials, it says they want to get electricity consumption data.

Hmmm, so how is the RAV4-EV that's been charging on that meter for the last 6 years going to affect the data?

(Blink EVSE installed yesterday, still waiting on Leaf VIN 0581 Sigh.)
