That's cool. Some services aren't for everyone, no worries. And I do agree that PlugShare is very handy. I, like you, have never used someone's personal station. That being said, in an odd way, I'd be much more likely to use someone's personal station if they charged me for it.
And it's only in LA right now because they just got started and are piloting it there.
I also agree with the comment above this that said it isn't a great name. It sounds like an online dating site for EV enthusiasts.
