My commuting is only 24miles round trip daily and 110V in my garage serves me fine.
However, I am fascinated by the wifi functionality of the Juicebox on the smartphone.
Juicebox description says it will work with 110V.
Currently, my LEAF is parked at the far end from the breaker box in my 3 car garage. However, when my son moves out of the house next year , off to a college hopefully, I will be able to park next to the breaker box and I will get a 240V outlet installed.

I was wondering if anyone has used it on 110V.

I have a JuiceBox Pro 40 and it's been great. I use it on a 50amp circuit but if you want to use it with a regular wall outlet all you'd need is a $29 adapter:

or if you just can't wait for your son to fly the coop, maybe this will work:

Thanks.

Since you have used it I would like to ask some questions if you don't mind.

1. So I am assuming Juicebox cannot tell how much is already in the car battery. It can only tell how much it has put in.
Can you program it to charge certain amount, for example, 45%?
If not, can you specify how much electricity to charge?

2. If you program with start and stop times, does it provide how much it will put in the car? So that you can calculate what the finishing amount will be?

It cannot. There's nothing in the J1772 protocol for the vehicle to tell the EVSE the battery's state of charge.

Hi,

Yes, the JuiceBox can't determine how much charge is left on the battery but the app allows you to specify it in terms of either miles, % charge left, or kWh, whichever you prefer. It's a simple dial to set in the app and it takes only a second to do this. Once it's set, the app can track everything from there and pretty darn accurately too.

Once you tell the JuiceBox what you plugged in with, you can have it charge to whatever % you want and then stop. Again, it takes a couple of seconds to do this. You can also program to a time when you need the car as well. You don't have to futz around with how many hours you need to get to a specific % of charge, you just tell it what you want in terms of % and it takes care of the rest.

On a side note, if you get the juicebox with Juicenet Green, it can use predictive analytics to charge when cleaner power from the grid is available and avoids dirty sources like coal for example. There's a white paper on their site that explains this all. I have it JuiceNet Green and it works well. You can decide when you want to use Green.

I have a 2018 Leaf S (and a Volt BTW) but with the JuiceBox I actually get a little of the charging functionality of the Nissan Connect EV app of the SV and SL trim levels.

It's a great EVSE and their support is top notch.

Hope this helps...

I finally received it and installed it in the garage and connected it to wifi.

The smart charging time was 10:45 pm earlier and now it is 12:15 am. :?:

Not sure...did you get the JuiceNet Green option?

Did you change any of the car parameters? That might have affected the charge time.

Try contacting EMW, they are very responsive.

Have you tried the web dashboard yet? That's pretty cool too.

That dashboard is very cool!
Thanks.
It will be interesting to see how much I use in a month.

I did not purchase the Green option.

Residential electric rates are 8.16 cents per kilowatt-hour according to the power company in my area.
It doesn't specify by the time of the day.

Edit: hahaha...
I didn't realize there were two arrows on the circle - one to indicate starting point and the other to indicate target point.
Now I am using it correctly.

Since my Leaf SOH is about 84.6%, I have adjusted the capacity to 20.3 from 24 kWh. And the charging speed is perfectly synchronized with the app.

Nice, glad you're enjoying it! There's also a setting for EVSE efficiency in case you need to tweak that as well. The cool thing too is that you can control the JuiceBox essentially from anywhere. That came in handy when my wife didn't have time to mess with the timers in the Leaf one day. I was at work but I told her to just plug it in and I took care of everything else for her from my phone.
