As I approach 7500 miles on my 2018 Leaf, do I get a service reminder on the dash board?

At 7,500 miles there is really nothing to do other than, perhaps, a tire rotation...

If just a tire rotation as the maintenance manual says, is there any extra bonus to have the dealer do it or just have a gas station do it?

Anyone can do it but pick a place that will do it right. Meaning, jack up the car in the proper place so as not to dent the underbody, properly torque the lug nuts/bolts and properly inflate the tires. A dealer may do this but they may try to sell some extra's as well since there isn't much money to be made in a tire rotation.

Check the dealer's price - you may (or may not) be surprised. Some dealerships will charge a low price, or even do it for free, to promote good will and customer loyalty.
