I've bee putting those small RFID cards for charge networks like chargepoint and koben systems on a key ring. I recently received one from FLO that's credit card sized. Can I cut this safely without damaging the antenna or chip?

+1. Size matters for antennae and I'd bet there is an antenna around the perimeter of the card. Any trimming of the card would cut that and render it useless.

Depending on the color of the card, you can sometimes hold them against the flashlight on your phone (or other high-density light) and see the contents. Doesn't work so well with dark colored cards but works great for light colored ones. It's how I typically check before hole-punching cruise line cards for a lanyard.

I successfully trimmed about a centimeter off all edges of a work CC sized RFID card so it would fit in a key lockbox but I don't know how much more I could have cut off and still had it work.....

The most I've done is drill a hole so I could attach it to a key-ring holding all my other charging cards.

I used the light approach mentioned above to help avoid the antenna traces when I drilled. The traces did look to be typically near the outer edge of the card, so I had to position my hole somewhat more to the inside than I would have preferred.
