Hello All,

I have been driving my 2013 leaf with no trouble so far..... after reading for awhile I am thinking maybe I go lucky up until now.....

In past 5 months I have been getting this warning light erratically, it comes in the morning when i go to work and it turn off in the afternoon when i go home. Sometimes it stays on all the time until the nest day and it turns off.

I changed the 12 volt battery and that seem to stop the warning light for abt a week or so, then it started again...... So I finally took it to the Dealership. they charged me $150.00 and ran a check in all modules and didn't find any warning code. So I am back to Square 1. I still get the light......which I am ignoring now because I don't know what else to do.

So I am hoping somebody in this forum has some idea of what might be going on......This is just not fair.....after $300.00 both my issues are still there and the dealership and Nissan is probably laughing to the bank....... and by the way if you Nissan staff are reading don't be scared to chime in..........

There's a fairly long thread on the forums here about this exact same issue. Do some searching for "EV system warning
light" and you should find it.

FWIW, it's probably benign and due to an EVSE that you frequently use, but if you have LeafSpy (highly recommend getting it along with an OBD2 BT dongle) then you can have a look at the individual cells in the pack to see if there are any problems. You can also read the ODB2 codes using the Pro version.
