Hi all

I need some advice and help. My car failed its MOT due to the left headlight being out of alignment. When they tried to realign it they told me they couldn't as the headlight adjustment has broken. The dealership told me that I have to buy an entire new headlight as there is no spare part just for the alignment.

The part number in the UK is 26060-3NM5A

Am I being told a lot of bull by the dealership? Do I have to buy the entire headlight? Is there any way around this. Even second hand, the part isn't cheap.

Why is the adjuster broken? Inspect it visually. Is it. Try to adjust on your own in random direction.
Headlight interior parts, AFAIK, are not available. But you might get some from crashed vehicle.
I know some people have opened up the headlight (to paint it inside).

I have the same problem. Was loosening the screw to lower the headlights, and now it seems to have disconnected from the internal mechanism because the screw no longer adjusts the beam (neither up nor down).

Had you managed to resolve the problem with yours?
