NissanConnectEV Remote Climate Control Start - Fail

Using the EU NissanConnectEV app on iOS.

It's hot here - seeking to cool car. Dial in 16º (C) to the remote climate control setting on NissanConnectEV app then activate climate control. Arrive a few minutes later to find the HEATER on. This happens often, but not every single time.

What is the issue here and how to resolve?

Perhaps someone with a 2018 Leaf will offer more information. Is it possible to change the climate control temperature setting remotely on the 2018? The climate control timer/remote temperature setting on my 2015 is under menus on the center screen so it must be set in advance (set a low temperature if you want to make sure cooling activates; a high temperature to make sure heat activates). My 2011 had a fixed setting of 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) so it would sometimes heat when I wanted cooling in moderate temperatures.
