I finally lost the 3rd bar yesterday 1/27/18. My 2015 Leaf SL stats were:

Mileage: 45,575
kWh: 15.4
SOC: 96%
GIDs: 199
SOH: 69%
Hx: 43.84%
Ah: 43.0

So I’m on track for a warranty battery replacement in 2018.

This is the wrong thread. This is only for '15 "lizard" batteries which is 24 kWh. You have the 30 kWh battery, which so far don't seem to be holding up well.

You can post stats at viewtopic.php?f=30&t=23606.

12 bar reading on October 21, 2017
Mileage 37,519
GIDs 249
kWh 19.3
SOH 85.18
Hx 76.04
AHr 52.9
Avg Temp 76.2

GOM at full 91 miles

11 bar now
Mileage 43,338

kWh 18.9
SOH 84.64
Hx 73.01
AHr 52.56
Avg Temp 69.6
# QCs 70

I will drive it another year and see what is on tap in 2019. Worst case scenario, I will just replace the battery on my dime in 2-3 years at 100k miles.

Am I wrong in saying that the MY2015 batteries drop bars at lower Ah readings than the previous versions of the LEAF?

According to this spreadsheet of data compiled from this site by sandeen, the MY2011s dropped their bars at approximately the following levels:

12th: 55.2 Ah
11th: 51.5 Ah
10th: 47.5 Ah
9th: 43.0 Ah
8th: 39.0 Ah

But just on this page I see MY2015s with 12 bars at 52.9 Ah and 11 bars at 48.50 Ah.

So my question becomes: Do the 2015s hold their capacity better or do they have lower bar thresholds or both?

As you can see above mine dropped the 10th bar at 43.0 Ah well below the average 47.5.

By the averages I should already be requesting my warranty replacement.

So YES, I do think the Lizard battery management system is dropping bars at a much lower threshold.

I've been hovering around 53.5 AHr since the Jan 1 on my 2015 and still show 12 bars.

I picked up a used 2015 Leaf 2 weeks ago. I haven't quite got the Leaf Spy on and charting routine perfected yet (my wife will grab the car and run a kid to school) but my preliminary data follows:

After a night's charge 270/271 Gids; 59.19 AHr; SOH 95.27; 12 bars showing; 11,700 miles.

95% capacity is very good. If I were offered a loaded '15 with that SOH, I'd probably buy it.

Switched to L2 charging, after having an outlet installed and using an EVSE Upgrade(d) unit. Went from 94.47 SOH at purchase to 95.3 last week to 96.42% this morning. AHr at purchase was 58.6658. Last week, it rose to 59.16 AHr. This morning it was up to 59.8768.

I haven't yet calculated the time cut off to charge just to 80%, and I'm not yet convinced it matters that much. I don't charge every night unless I'm down to below 50%. My commute is <5 miles, so most of my battery goes for heat and defrost.
