I wonder how good the car is at energy accounting.

I am using LeafSpy and one day, I have watched the watt-hours counter white waiting on a long red light. Usually it counts 1 tick every 12s in such a case (No AC, no heater, 300W LV power), but this time, it was ticking much faster (like if there was >3kW of load).
I have verified the clima control is off, but initially dismissed it, thinking that the LeafSpy might have missed some power level update and just kept integrating the last value.

When I have checked the logs at home, it has shown I have burned two full GIDs on those lights and confirmed no AC (and that the pack should only have been providing about 550W, that is, less that 10Wh in that minute:
Code:
time speed GIDs SOC Pack V	Pack A	12V A	odo regen	mot aux AC eAC Hetr
18:16:07	0	209	847188	387.46	1.434	1.61 26611	-146 0	3	0	0	0
18:16:24	0	208	846537	387.46	1.342	1.85 26611	-146 0	3	0	0	0
18:16:43	0	208	845397	387.36	1.619	1.61 26611	-146 0	3	0	0	0
18:17:01	0	207	844498	387.36	1.454	1.36 26611	-146 0	3	0	0	0
18:17:23	0	207	843515	387.26	1.527	1.61 26611	-146 0	3	0	0	0

Since that event, I have had even funnier observations, such as Wh continuously decreasing while stopped - on that trip, I have covered 7.5mi on mere 754Wh, SGids=155, EGids=174, while I usually need ~1800Wh for that route.

My understanding is GIDs are provided directly by the car from the BMS so even if there was something wrong with LeafSpy or the data it received, GIDs should still be a reliable indication of the state of the battery...

Data: Leaf manufactured on 03/2011, I own it for last 6 weeks, 17.000 miles, 54.5Ah, 82% SOH, 79 Hx, pack balanced to within 15-18mV.

I wouldn't bother worrying about this. I posted part of it at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=472552#p472552.

Nissan has never (AFAIK) publicly documented any of the values on the CAN bus that are present in traffic there or by querying, let alone making any warranties/guarantees of their accuracy.

Also see links at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=339977#p339977. This was prior to the Leaf having any % SoC display, which began with model year 2013.

This will not bring you anywhere :)
For starters keeping Leaf in D does mean motor is engaged and drawing power.
Holding brake pedal down also uses power. You can hear the electro-hydraulic actuator moving
very rapidly according to brake pedal micro-adjustments.

If battery is balancing during use (red bars on first screen) that should mean energy is just
wasted for balancing. It doesn't even get out of the pack :D
