Re: Extending range of 24kWh Leaf with LeafBox

Depending on driving conditions and terrain, regen typically increases an EV's total range by 10-40%, that's probably what he means. And yes it should be 90% efficient in recovering energy (when it can, regen doesn't work under a certain speed or if the driver brakes hard enough to use the brake discs). Neither one has any effect on one-pedal driving if implemented properly. The Leaf does one-pedal just fine until 4mph when the creep comes on (for no reason arrgggggg I hate it).

I got my Leaf Box and made a video:

I'd be interested to test a ludicrous mode while accelerator depressed to 100%. Can this be accomplished? Can we get more HP/Torque on-demand?

It wasn't really clear to me from what I read, would it be possible to get more regen back using LeafBox with a degraded battery? My battery is severely degraded (5 bars total, 7 lost) and I only get one regen bubble (about 4.5kW is the most I've seen) between 15-35mph and SOC around half or less.

I own a 2017 S model with the B for break setting. I was wondering if you still needed testers for the newer model. I live in southern California and primarily use the vehicle for work commute 35 miles round-trip of predominantly Highway driving with hills.

Thank you for your consideration

If this product was any good, don't you think someone else than a Yugoslavian would have also come up with this?

$350 international dollars (you will never see again) is a lot to get a neutral gear down hill. I am sure that the Chinese could sell this on Ebay for $50 or less.

I'd like to get it for the tests. And id like buy if it really "gains the pain" and gives 6-9% of range plus.

BUT i'm defenitely unsure it would! Where is developer? Why he doesn't talk to us? It all seems to be a "placebo" for EV owners

+1 on the placebo. I'd like to see what happens if you give "leafbox" equipped vs non-equipped to drive to people that do not know anything about the mod...

I am sure that you can "hypermile" if after you install the box, you drive the car like it is a newborn....

Also, in the videos I have seen, the guy doing the demo runs the car battery down to ZERO, thus getting more range than any of us Leaf owners would dare. I do no want to destroy my battery like that....
