Yes, and based on the videos I've seen you can set the SOC you want to charge to on the Hyundai Kona EV too

The Niro has that option too - Bjorn Nyland went through that on his recent YouTube video. (Currently the front-runner to replace my Leaf... I need something with longer range!)

When I leave the house in my 2018 leaf, there is a 1800' descent in 3 1/2 miles. If I limit the charge to 80% I can make the descent in B mode without using any braking. I am using a 16 amp level 2 charger on a 20 amp circuit which charges the battery at 9.6%/hour. In order to make the charging procedure to 80% as painless as possible I installed a countdown timer in the circuit and made up a chart showing the charge time required to reach 80% at each 5% of remaining battery charge. The only countdown timer I could find which will fit a standard switch box and handle 20A at 240V is the Intermatic E1400C which can be obtained from Amazon. It is a digital timer and a bit finicky to set, but I set a default time of 4 hours, which is close to what I usually need, and can adjust up or down from there as necessary; much easier than using the onboard charge timer. Anyone using a charger requiring more than 20A will have to find a heavier duty timer such as a mechanical water heater timer with on and off tabs that can be easily adjusted.
