At least have a system capable of recording views fore and aft. Front view camera can be integrated into the rear view mirror. Integrate aft view into that "middle tail light" that is up high.
I've shared this sentiment for many years now. While I utilize after market options to have at least a front facing dash cam in all my cars (and motorcycles too), I'm surprised I haven't seen any manufactuers intergrating cameras for this purpose. With a good number of cars now available, there are many cameras already part of the manufacture, so we are nearly there, go the extra step and add recording.
I use DailyRoads Voyager on old Android phones (with usb power attached) I have laying around to serve as dash cams at the moment. Would love to see the continued evolution of cameras being a part of the car design.
