Has anyone attempted to put a new or junk yard LEAF radio from a 2016 into an older LEAF SV or SL. I'm interested in trying to do this for Apple and Android auto integration. Commuting in Atlanta it's nice to get navigation that reroutes during congestion. The map upgrade cost and Sirius subscription to do this in my 2013 are silly. Id rather pay one time upfront and have automatically updated maps and traffic. I read another thread where someone had this thought but never let us know his progress.

I imagine it should be possible since the interior of the cars have stayed relatively the same. However, I don't think Nissan dealerships would do it. The cost would be high. I've been curious about this myself, so I'd be interested if anyone has replaced the head unit with a new model year unit or an aftermarket unit.

Take a look at my post:

It may give you some ideas......
