Suddenly my cell phone will not connect to the bluetooth..I tried to get it to connect to my wife's phone, but not with it either.

This is in my '13 SL

Any suggestions?

What phone? What OS version? Was there an OS update recently done on your phone(s)? Did you shut Bluetooth off on your phone(s)?

Delete and try to re-pair the phone to the unit?

Thanks for the reply..the OS version is H/W ..I know of no upgrade to the phone, (an AT&T flip phone,) and no, the bluetooth is turned on.

???

I did shut everything down to reboot if that's what you mean by deleting it.
No. I'm talking about deleting the phone from the car nav system side (list of connected phones) as well as deleting the car's head unit from the phone side.

The phone itself surely has software/firmware revisions. What's the model # and make of the phone? From that, we could determine if the carrier can actually provide over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Problem solved..I deleted the MY-CAR from my phone and then reinstalled it. After I did that, they connected right up.

Thanks for all of the assistance..that's what we are here for..to pass along our wisdom and to offer suggestions when asked.

Anyone else having Bluetooth issues and / or know of any solutions?

Bluetooth seems to have stopped working in our 2015 SV. It won't connect to my wife's phone or mine. I delete the phones from the paired devices and removed the car from my phone and now when I try to add my phone back, the phone doesn't "see" the car when I search for Bluetooth devices. In case it's related, I've noticed that recently, my phone has started to disconnect / reconnect tons of times when I was driving the Leaf.

Bluetooth is on in the car.

Bluetooth for both phones work fine in our other car (Toyota Sienna).

Any suggestions?

Since I am new to the Leaf world I am not sure which car years/models have which features. After a few days playing with the "features" of my 2019 SV with tech here is what I have figured out in regards to the bluetooth:

When I start the car and plug my phone into the car and android auto starts, the radio will automatically choose USB input as the default audio path as part of connecting to android auto. When this happens, I look at the bluetooth settings in my S9+ and the "media" setting is disabled, all other settings are enabled including call audio. When I attempt to enable media it immedietly disables. If I go into the audio source menu on the car and choose bluetooth, it asks if I want to choose a bluetooth device, when i enter that menu the S9 is grayed out and cannot be chosen.

Since audio works (with a delay) through bluetooth, this is not an too much of an issue, and I think the audio quality is better through USB than it is through bluetooth.

What does cause a problem is that for some reason USB connection fails and kills the audio, but the media continues to play. After the connection fails I am able to choose the S9 bluetooth as an audio source. I believe that the USB failure is in the entertainment/nav system for the following reasons: 1. I use the same Android Auto system in a Honda Civic Si and with a Kenwood stereo in my Tundra and have no issue. 2. I have taken cables from the known working vehicles and swapped them around, the issue stays with the Nissan.

So, this might somehow relate to the issues others are having with their bluetooth, if you are using the car's USB port, try disconnecting it and go into your bluetooth settings on your phone to see if media audio is disabled.
