Humming sound from speakers when connected to Bluetooth

Tue Dec 25, 2018 11:42 am

After my phone connects to the Bluetooth in my 2013 SV, I hear a low hum/buzz from the speakers. The sound is low, but easily audible by anyone in the car. I'm unable to hear the hum once I play anything. The hum goes away if I turn the car's stereo off, so I believe the sound is coming from the car's speakers. The stereo volume is set below half and the Bluetooth audio on my phone (Pixel XL) is no more than 75%. Have others experienced this? What have they found corrects this issue?

I looked around the forum, but didn't see others posting about this. Apologies if this has already been discussed.

With thanks in advance,
Mike

Nope. Have never heard this but I only generally only connect iPhones to the stereo of my '13 SV w/premium. I don't even have an Android phone paired to my current '13 Leaf.

'13 Leaf SV w/premium package (owned)
'13 Leaf SV w/QC + LED & premium packages (lease over, car returned)

Try turning down the phone's audio and raising the car's. I've heard this from cheap device setups.
