Looking to get a phone mount for the Leaf. Any recommendations?

I have gone through at least a dozen and finally found one I can tolerate. It fits in the CD slot or a crack / gap in the dash. I have one in the van, wagon and leaf and haven't had one break or drop a phone.

Stickyback velcro on the above vertical surface and back of phone works great for me. Can see the display and remove easily for security.Stanton said:I put one of those "non slip" mats (specifically sold for phones) on the flat surface in front of the cup holders and simply lay my iPhone there. It never moves and I can still see the face if I need to.
As an update: it worked pretty well until our first real cold snap. At that point, it fell off the dash and I've not been able to get it to stay connected since.jlv said:I second the use of the iOttie One Touch. It uses a sticky suction cup that will attach to the curved, textured dash board. See this thread.
I have this one, but I paid $13 on sale.
You can remove that adjustment screw that sticks out of the bottom - it's not needed when it's wedged above the screen. That will solve the worst of the blocking.ybitz said:I bought the new mountek one that gets wedged above the navigation screen:

It blocks view of the screen, which I find annoying when using the backup camera. It's too bad, because it's otherwise a good mount.
GerryAZ said:I suggest you find a mount that fits your phone and use the strongest 3M double-stick tape to attach it to the top left corner of the black bezel of the NAV system. It will be easy to view the phone, will not obstruct the view of the road, will not block the view of the NAV screen, and will be easy to remove when necessary. I mounted a commercial mount with standard 4-hole accessory mounting arrangement that way in my 2011. I then attached the charging cradle specific for my BlackBerry to that mount. I thought I would just replace the bezel if I ever needed to remove the mount and could not clean up the tape residue. I did not care about leaving tape residue when I went to the body shop to remove personal items from the 2011, but the 3M tape peeled off of the black bezel without leaving a mess. That 3M tape held for almost 3 years in our extreme temperatures and was still holding when I peeled it off. If you use this method, clean the bezel and mount with alcohol wipes and allow to dry before applying the tape.
