Hack the CANbus?

This looks very promising. It is an Arduino unit which connects to the vehicle and can sniff and inject into the CANbus. Change one thing and find out what the ID is and maybe change it on the fly?

Thanks for the heads up. This is exactly what I was trying to hack together myself... I backed them and hope that it'll be a nice interface for the Leaf.

Yup, I backed them as well. What do you want to mess around with?

I want to:
* restore the 200 ft/lbs of torque again (available on 2011-2012).
* Decrease the power steering boost at higher speeds.
* Telematics through Wi-Fi instead of the dead 2G cell via a Digi WiFi board. i.e. Remote warm up @ home.
* Disable the GPS signal via software so the features in the radio work whenever I want.

Nissan changed the amount of neodymium in the motor rotor, this appears
to have lead to slightly weaker magnet in the rotor, and thus the loss of torque,
so only exists in the older motors.

Figure out a way to make the amount of power available like the Nismo mod that was avail only in Japan! ;)

Those Nismo Leafs I hear were damn fast!

With such power we need a limited slip differential...

I tell you what, you figure out the CAN bus mods.. and I'll do or work on the LSD ;)

I've done plenty in my lifetime and have modded plenty from open to LSD to Torsen torque units, etc.

Sound like a deal?
