It sounds like you are just making stuff up as regards to the Nissan LEAF. I'm specifically talking about the "Nissan LEAF Li-Ion Battery Assurance Limited Warranty" that Nissan provides to owners when they purchase a new Li-ion battery. For the 24-kWh batteries, that warranty is for 8 years and 100,000 miles for materials and workmanship and for 5 years and 60,000 miles for gradual capacity loss.
The question is how long the warrant period is for gradual capacity loss on the 30-kWh battery. Random speculation is not really useful here.
All that was provided was based on your having purchased a replacement battery for your present old Leaf, i.e. a 24 kWh or 30 kWh battery.
The warranty possibilities are either that the purchase is considered as a typical vehicle part replacement which has a one year warranty,
or Nissan provides a non-standard part replacement warranty (like a new vehicle - 5yrs, X miles, etc.). Nissan may become benevolent with
regards to this and assume continued liability for your replacement batteries. I doubt that Nissan has really established a policy as yet.
So maybe you should contact Nissan corporate and eliminate any speculation. There're only two outcomes to the issue and guessing
in this thread won't resolve it.
