Oregon is an absolutely ideal place to own an EV, both in terms of charging infrastructure and climate. I could definitely live in Portland, beautiful city. Lucky Oregonians!

Hoping that the new government on BC Canada will introduce something like this too. Won't help me, but I'd love to see more EVs on the road.

And some more, via ABG:
Oregon introduces EV rebates, bicycle tax

$15 excise tax on adult bicycles (defined as those with tires 26" or larger diameter) over $200, funds to go for bike and pedestrian infrastructure projects.

so the comments section had this to say: 90 days after the legislation is signed, then the $2500 is up for grabs (for 10kWh BEVs and larger)?

So , Oct 7th, 2017 was set as the Oregon EV rebate day. (my term).

so any EV purchase during the summer months (rest of July, August and Sept), do not qualify. Seems that might stymie/delay OR EV sales a bit...

Correct me if I'm not reading this properly.

I'm excited...but have to wait 'till Oct to really be excited, I guess.
