RE degradation warranty - I used Nissan chat and the agent wrote that the 2018 Leaf is warrantied for degradation loss 8 years, same as the 30 KW pack.

Did they specify a percentage degradation? Because there's no "battery bars" in the 2018 leaf, the less than 9-bars of battery life part of the degradation warranty wouldn't apply.

I recall 70% but without the text I can't swear to it - easy enough to find out, just do what I did and use Nissan Chat to ask the question and tell us what happens.

sadly, that adds little credibility. Others accessing the same have received different answers. In this case, you did someone who had the ability to look and find the correct answer
