Negotiating lease end buy-out price

Thu Nov 01, 2018 10:14 am

Has anyone here lately been able to negotiate the residual down at the least end? My 2017 is going to hit the two year lease end in a few months and i have a $13.2K buy out price. Wondering if others have been able to negotiate this down at the time of lease end. I am pretty sure the dealers will soon get flooded with lease turn-ins and Nissan should be motivated to make buy-outs attractive.

That seems like a really high buyout price to me considering you can buy used for that price not as a lease buyout and they should be giving you a really good discount since you have been leasing and they won't have to work to sell the car to someone else.

I would shoot for under $10,000.

That seems like a very good target.
