I built a cable with the EV buss, power, and ground for the SOC I was building. It was hanging over my workbench and one of my dogs used it for a chew toy. I have repaired it with a spliced cable and it works fine.

I recently upgraded 2 units for pchilds. Phil installed my unmounted unit in the sunglass holder. My usual 5 foot cable was not long enough so he added an other foot to reach.
I have made up a 10 foot cable. I expect it to be cut to the required length. The commercial cable Garygid uses is 6 feet and the wires are not paired so I expect the paired cable will do at least that length.
