[SOLD] For Sale: 2011 Leaf SL - $6,500 - Original Owner - 12/12 bars on replaced traction battery [SOLD]

Mon Dec 31, 2018 2:48 pm

[SOLD]
I'm selling my 2011 SL. I'm the original owner. The reason I'm selling it is because this car is used primarily for commuting to work, and the California HOV (carpool) stickers have expired on it, so it can no longer be used in the carpool lane by a solo driver. I have bought another car that is eligible for a new set of stickers.

Exterior/Interior Photos:

It current has 62,000 miles on it. The traction battery was replaced under warranty by Nissan in September of 2016, with the odometer reading about 37,500. It still has 12/12 bars, but I'm guessing it's going to be losing it's first bar sometime in the near future. I have taken pictures of the LeafDD output with a full charge:

The on-board charg_er (OBC) was also replaced by Nissan in order to fix an issue where charging the car was causing "line noise". This was done back in November of 2013 under warranty by Nissan.

It hasn't been involved in any accidents. It does have some nicks and scratches to the paint. The passenger side fog light is loose, but it still works.

I have a CarFAX for the car that was generated on 12/31:

It needs new tires and possibly an alignment (pulls to the right a little). The brakes are a little grabby from time to time when the car is travelling at low speeds, for example pulling into a parking space (see http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=6086).

The original 2G telematics control unit has been disabled by Nissan since 2G is no longer available. The new owner can replace the old unit with the updated 3G TCU to re-enable the telematics features for about $200 at the Nissan dealer. Check with your Nissan dealer first, as some people have reported that some dealers charge more for this.

It comes with two key fobs, the optional cargo organizer, 120V portable trickle charge cable and bag, Nissan safety kit, entry plates and blue center console applique from the Eco Design Package, Chademo quick charge port, floor mats, and rear cargo mat.

The car was last serviced by Nissan in December of 2018. The cabin filter was replaced at this time.

If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them.

$6,500

He showed you with the LEAF DD photo:

SOH is 75
54 Ahr capacity

About what I would expect after two years in a hot climate.

Thanks SageBrush. Sorry stjohnh, I don't have a LeafSpy setup, but I do have a LeafDD. If you need anything other information that LeafDD can provide, just let me know.

It shouldn't be showing 12 bars with a SOH of 75. The first bar drops at about 85.

I charged it to 100%, plugged the LeafDD into the OBDII port, and started turn the car on and took pictures of the results. If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know and I'll re-run the tests.

I'm not familiar enough with Leaf DD, only LeafSpy. Hopefully someone else can help.

I bought my 2013 S in the summer of 2013. I purchased LeafDD a month later (Turbo3 helped me install it in his driveway). I think LeafSpy was released in late 2013. I used both for a few months, then removed LeafDD. As I recall because some of the calculated values were different. I don't recall that LeafDD had what is referred to as SOH in the current versions of LeafSpy. Seems I recall something about changing the way it was calculated. Regardless, a 54Ah capacity with 12 bars means that the first bar is likely to go any time now. Best to think of this as an 11 bar battery.

FYI, I still drive my good old 2011 SL, going on 8yrs. I had my traction battery replaced (ODO 33,500 mi) in July, 2017. I have Leaf DD. At 80% charge, My SOH is now 78.87--capacity is 56.21. My ODO is now 42,350. I still have 12 bars. Of course, I've babied the heck out of this car since new: I hardly ever charge over 80%, have never seen 90 degree batt temp, never down to VLBW. I'm 81 yrs young, and I plan on being buried with this car still humming along.
