Although not a physical product, I put this at the top of this list since turbo2ltr :ugeek: was the first to decode the canbus and started the ball rolling for all the following discoveries and developments.

I don't think I'd include anything that is not currently available... Also, we might want to include next to each one in the fist entry, which buss(es) it monitors...

Do we want to include the LEAFScan? We've heard so little lately, that it's hard to guess whether it's still going to be released.

I would change #1 (or add in parentheses) to "Original Gid Meter"
Funny. I actually had that precisely (as stated, in parentheses) up to about 10 seconds before submitting and at the last minute decided to keep it uniform until I had some comments about the rest of the entries.

OK. Started filling in information and reordered in chronological order. I am not familiar with many of these so please correct any mistakes or omissions or suggestions for better pictures. Ran out of time this morning - will work on the others later.

Looks great, very informative about the various options available. Just a couple of nitpick suggestions:

1) Make the numbers the same font/size/color as each entry - looks odd when the number before each entry is in a small black font
2) The last few entries are not sized the same as the others

That's it. Excellent work!

The current firmware version of the SOC/GID-Meter displays:

%GIDs (of 281), GIDs, SOC, and
Pack Amps (out and in), Volts, and computes kW (out and in).

The logging feature captures almost all the CAN Messages
on the selected CAN bus, but misses some that are too
closely spaced.

A filter (not shown) makes the large LED characters readable
even in sunlight.

Yeah, I didn't like that photo, but I only had a few minutes this morning to hunt. If you can point me to a better one, I will update.

The detailed post with the pictures REALLY belongs in the Wiki. A thread is going to get lost, sooner or later, unless it's pinned to the top of the forum, and MyNissanLEAF doesn't seem to do that much.

I agree, and will add it to the Wiki once the content is stable. I wanted a thread for starters, though, to hopefully get people looking and correcting errors, adding details, etc.

Also Leaf Logger.

6) LeafDDhttp://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=12561http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=12561
Developer: GregH
Debut: 4/26/2013
Monitors: EVcan
Displays: Pack Volts, Pack Amps, kW, Amps, GIDs, SOC, kWh, Ah, cellpair voltages, Pack Temperature
I'm not sure about some of those. Leaf DD displays:

Pack Volts (real-time graphic)
Amps in/out (real-time graphic)
GIDs
SOC %
GID %
SOC Ah (calculated)
Pack Temperature (highest plus each sensor)
Pack Ah total capacity
Pack "health"
12 V battery voltage (measured, not from CAN info)
Pack Volts
Pack Amps (in/out)
Cell pair voltages, highest, average, lowest and graphic display of all of them
Cell pair shunt activity

I suggest changing the title to something meaningful to the layman, who many not even know what the Canbus is (and remove "Canomicon", which doesn't appear to be a real word). Otherwise some people won't find the info.

Something simple like: Devices Available to Monitor Battery Eneryg, State of Charge and Temperature

Great job TickTock! Thanks!
I just want to suggest one thing under the Gid Meter. I believe you should give credit under 'developers' also to the one who started getting the messages from the CANs and then gave it to Gary so he could make the meter. IIRC, it was Turbo2ltr back in FEB, '11.

Has anybody come up with one yet that has no display and just sends all the info via BlueTooth to an iPhone or iPad with an App or just using PHP/HTML5/JAVA and have it display in a web browser.

If I had the smarts to build a device like this that's how I'd do it.
