I got a Kyocera Hydro for Boost Mobile prepaid; I'm not activating the cellular service.

I got WiFi working; I go to Add Google Account/Existing account. It says the username/password don't match. I know they do.

I can log on to Google through the phone's browser, using the same username/pwd.

Does anybody know what is going on?

Thanks.

Never mind. I had Google 2-step verification turned on, and apparently that got the new phone mixed up. I turned 2-step verification off, and it worked.

To be more precise:
If your new phone doesn't accept your Google username (email) and password, and you have 2-step verification turned on for your account:
- Turn off 2-step verification.
- Log on to Google on your new phone.
- Let the phone update all the Google apps.
- Turn 2-step verification back on.

What does the Two-Step Verification do, and where does
one turn it On and Off?

Thanks for the info.

Dies the phone BT pair properly with the ELM clone, and
then does the LeafSpy app work properly?

What is the advantage of this Hydro smartphone over the eVent model?

According to this comparison, the Hydro is a very similar older
model, with only 2GB internal flash instead of the eVent's 4GB.,
just made for a different phone service provider.
