I'm looking for a way for my Raspberry Pi to wake up the CAN bus when the car is off.

According to the service manual, toggling the fog light switch should do the trick, but my 2016 S has no such button to test.

Before I hunt down that unused BCM input and hook up my Pi, would anyone with factory fog lights be willing to test whether activity on that switch will wake up a sleeping car?

The CAN - bus also starts when you open the door. I'm doing so, when I connect my bluetooth OBD with Leaf Spy on the mobile and do not start the Leaf before.

Thanks! The 2015 service manual suggests the activities listed will wake up the bus, but on my 2016 S, "TURN RH" and "TURN LH" don't have that effect. My end goal is to configure my Raspberry Pi to periodically toggle the (nonexistent) FR FOG switch to wake the CAN bus, sample battery state, and then let the car go back to sleep.
