New LeafSpy Server function discussion

Thu Apr 27, 2017 10:31 am

I am seeing a few crashes from people using the new Server function in LeafSpy.

One crash is due to the use of the Grave accent character "`" in the password.

This causes a "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Illegal character in query" error and crashes the app. I will look at catching the error so it does not crash the app.

The other crash is someone using Dropbox as the server which does not cause a problem for the app but makes no sense as Dropbox is not a valid URL. The problem is a trailing space in the URL. I will add code to remove any spaces from the User ID, password and URL.

I have just been told I need to encode the password to allow special characters in URL strings.

I will add that to the next release.
