Now that I have the Leaf, I'm trying to get solar installed by the end of 2016. Had three local companies out, two quotes in, waiting for the 3rd. Pricing so far seems high ($4.20/W) compared to friends/neighbors seeing $3.85/W, so wondering: are these quotes negotiable? Any tips on getting a better deal from a reputable installer? I've seen some DIY places selling parts for almost identical systems for 1/3 the cost of these installs. Not that I'm going to do it myself, but that seems like a hefty markup.
