On my last 65 mile roundtrip to the new International Terminal at Atlanta Airport, I discovered about 8 parking spots dedicated to EV's.

They are located INSIDE the parking decks on the arrival level, right next to the elevator that takes you to the pedestrian bridge. VERY convenient!

I'm glad to see Airport authorities in Atlanta providing perks to owners of Electric Vehicles. Add to that the use of HOV lanes (if you have the 'Alternative Fuel Vehicle' plates) and you see a city growing more aware of the advantages of the electric car.

I hope the next move will be to provide at least a few charging stations at these parking spots. Some people who live up north (like me) could use a charge as our vehicles begin losing range in the coming years. As it stands now, with fuel hovering at $4 a gallon, the cost of the airport run is slashed significantly by using an EV for the trip.

While not at the airport, we parked at Peachy parking with dedicated indoor EV parking. Bring your own Level 1. The cost is the same as regular spots.

I personal don't know if I would want to leave my L1 Charging block (even if i Lock the J1772 in) in the Lot for days on end. Also it the Daily lot, that is going to be big bucks for parking.

The peachy lot I posted is offsite and you can't just walk in. It's also well lit and there are drivers circling and security at the entrance.

I left our Smart plugged in for a week when we went to Machu Picchu and there were several Tesla and Leaf plugged in,

Park n Fly Plus has charging for $5 flat rate:

Thanks, the pictures make it look really nice. I just reserved a parking spot at Peachy for an upcoming trip.

Top deck, far right, near the tower are 10 L1 charging spots. The spots are painted green, bring your own trickle charger. No additional cost to charge, daily rate same as uncovered.
