Greetings!

I have a Solar Array as well as a L2 charger. In eastern MA, Eversource offers a time of use rate for electricity for peak and off peak. It would seem this is a better deal due to providing surplus to the grid, from the solar, during peak and charging my Leaf off-peak.

Anyone have experience doing this? Is it really as good as it seems?

Thank you

I called them and they said they do not offer this program. ... Despite it being documented on their website.

Interesting, they referred me to their specialist, Paul Browe, 781-441-3381. I spoke with him this morning. He didn't know much about it and tried to dissuade me. But, he said he would put in the order and it would take a few weeks for the new meter to be installed. Actually, no one I spoke with at Eversource was knowledgeable about Time of use. It was a struggle to get this far.

Installed Sunpower by E2 Solar. Very happy with them. Due to the efficiency, I needed 7 less panels than every other brand other installers quoted. Also, once you start selling your solar certificates, it pays for the loan. So, we own the system, solar certificates pay for the system, and the electricity is essentially free.
