Anybody read the article and notice the roll-over ad? The ad is for the words "alternative fuel" and the pop-up ad is for Penzoil with picture of a piston touting how clean it keeps your engine. Not _MY_ engine, ha ha!

That listing seems to be in error. If there are charging stations there, I believe they are located behind the 12 foot fence in a controlled access employee parking lot, not available to the public. I did see one Leaf behind the fence. It did not seem to be charging, and I could not spot the charging stations from outside.

Also notice the 2 off-line units at Harrah's Rincon Casino. When those open up it will be interesting to see how they price them. Who wants the business more, Pala or Rincon?

As far as I know, yes. To be more specific, it wasn't offered that they were not public. I just got off the phone with them, looking for info about DC quick chargers.

Wow, that's great. Along with Mossy Nissan and the IBEW, that makes about a dozen EVSEs in Kearny Mesa. Now, if we can only get some installed along the trolley line in Mission Valley and at the Old Town Transit Center we can integrate EVs with the public transit system. Much cheaper to take the trolley downtown or to the stadium than pay for parking.

Been requesting a Blink card for 6 months. Still nothing. If I was even able to find a Blink unit, I would not be allowed to use it. Its just crazy!

The Blink map is showing this location as 1 EVSE with a status of off line.

There are 4 units, but I haven't added them to my first post on this thread because they're not powered up yet...Soon, hopefully....

They were (mostly) powered up today. Lots of bugs and gremlins that we've come to know and love with these Blinks. There are four L2s, and two L1 plug-ins on the east side of the building.

This morning at 10:30, 3 Blink units will be dedicated at Ace parking in downtown San Diego at 1240 4th Ave...

Edit after event: KUSI TV was there and did interviews. I'll post a photo or two later. Three Blink units are available. SDG&E's Volt, CCSE's Plug-in Prius, and Jerome S.'s Leaf were there for the event. Parking AND charging will be free for the first month at this location.

I charged in this lot a couple of weeks ago. The sign said it would be free through the 14th. In the lot, I happened to run across a rep from Baker Electric that did the install, and a rep from Ecotality. They asked me what I thought the charge was worth to me. I was headed to a conference, and didn't have much time, and I basically tossed it back at them and said "you know what the charge is worth" (referring to the market cost of a kWh)

So.. did they change the sign. What did they decide to charge?

I know the downtown parking itself is worth something. One problem though is that when they limit you to 4 hours, that's not enough to fully charge. I needed 7 hours of charge to get back to OC. So if they make it much more inconvenient or costly, it'll just lead drivers somewhere else.

I ended up using the lot four hours each over two days, mostly to just try it out (first time on Bl!nks). However if I had to pay much, I might have just made arrangements with my hotel for a 120V receptacle.

Randy, didn't you say there was a Blink going in at the SDGE Energy Innovation Center at Diana and Clairemont Mesa Blvd? Is that one live yet?
