Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle, according to boss Roland Krueger

Sat Jan 14, 2017 9:16 am

No details of when or what, but the report is from the highest source:

Infiniti to launch performance EV with Nissan tech by 2020

...Infiniti will launch an electric vehicle in the next three years, according to boss Roland Krueger.

He said he had already driven an early prototype, describing it as "very good".

Krueger added that it was important that an electric vehicle maintained Infiniti's values of performance and handling - a forte of its hybrid offerings, he said. "We want it to have a unique Infiniti driving experience."

While Krueger wouldn't divulge what it's first electric car would be, he admitted it would be a new platform suggesting it will be a standalone model rather than a derivative of an existing model...

What I'd like is to see is a competitor in the new BESUV vehicle class, which will be created by Jaguar next year:

And, for the new Infiniti, like the Jag, i'd hope the Sport in SUV is not a joke, as it is for virtually all ICEV Suvs.

Wouldn't mind if the new Infiniti was priced a bit lower than the Jag, either...

Is this any thing like Audi, haven't they been saying this kind of stuff for years?

But it's a Nissan, and likely the concept preview for the next gen Altima.
