That's a long wait, I'm thinking 2018 model or at least by 2019

Yah my guess is within the next 6 months there will be a 300 km version. But it would just be a waste for us. Until we are retired it doesn't make sense to get longer range car. We occasionally go for longer drives but we have fairly good DCFC facilities in our province and getting better every month. You never know. Maybe the right deal will come along. Until then 200 km is adequate for us.

Lots of pictures of the LEAF 2: ??

(edit: I am very much looking forward to the reveal of the LEAF 2, and expect pictures to start coming out now that Nissan has actually given a Sept 2017 date for it's release. I post this just to highlight the use of the word "fictional")

Leaf 2 will be revealed in September or so. I think everybody is expecting at least 200 miles range.

Nissan has shown a 60kWh battery pack that looks to be production ready. They have to do at least a 200 mile range, or they will fade into the background.

It's going to be a 37-40kWh battery pack, I suspect. Nissan is trying to appeal to the lower cost market versus the Model 3, even if the Model 3 offers a better comparative value in terms of range, resale, feature set (autopilot), battery life, warranty, and charging infrastructure.
Pulled the trigger on going EV on 10/2016 with a 2012 Leaf, and a Tesla Model 3 reservation expected to receive in late 2018.

Actually a 40 kWh in low 20s with the safety bells and whistles & DCFC (don't care which flavor - local chargers have both), with 100K mile capacity warrantee and I will go back on my Nissan Never Again stance and head to my dealer.
