Wall to wheels energy

Tue Apr 18, 2017 9:03 am

Is it similar to my Plug in Prius? Only about 85% of the energy from the wall is usable in the car. (via trickle charge)

Looking for a number to put into my nerd spreadsheets.

What about level 2?

85% is probably a good number for L1. Level 2 is higher. I average about 3 miles per kWh from the wall with L2 charging, somewhat aggressive driving, and sport compound tires. YMMV

I use 0.82 for L1 and 0.88 for L2.
Both numbers are an amalgam of my internet reading.
