2011 nissan leaf 120 volt plug problem

Wed May 30, 2018 4:52 pm

I have had my leaf since 2012 and it was built in japan. I went last week to use my home 120 volt plug in and the plug would not fit into the charging port.
Is there a cover in place preventing me from plugging in?
Thanks

Some EVSE plugs have a rubber o-ring seal that can either get out of place or come off and get stuck in the bottom of the charging port on the car. This can keep the plug from going in far enough to latch.
