Exactly how does this work? Both the climate control timer and base climate control. It seems there is no way to control the cabin temperature from the app. I wasn't sure if it automatically detects if it's winter or summer and at that point chooses ac or heat. Does it go by what setting the car was last set at before turned off?

The temperature is set in the NAV settings. There is a specific menu item for it. It automatically selects heat or cool based on the current cabin temperature and the temperature set point specified in the menu. I have mine set for 70 degrees.
