Hi, new to forum but thought I would post my Leaf purchase "story". MSRP was $33,540. Dealer price was $30,296 less Nissan 0% finance $3000 rebate and $7500 federal tax credit = $19796. Less present cash value of 0% financing over 48 month planned ownership = $2000 and present cash value of $7500 tax credit over 48 months = $5000. So I figure my net cost of my new 2018 Leaf S to be $17,296. My present value calculations are based on the returns I am currently experiencing from my income oriented investment portfolio.

You forgot to read the broker's standard boilerplate:

"Past performance is not a guarantee of future returns."

Where are you located? No "dealers" around here, just full MSRP.

Purchased from Michael Jordon Nissan in Durham, NC. I bought my 2014 Leaf from them also. I live about an hour away so did the entire 2018 deal (new Leaf price and old Leaf trade) by email with Rick Simonette, the General Sales Manager. Rick's email address is:

Slight correction on my original posting. Cash present value of $7500 tax credit is $500 not $5000.

Got $8750 for my 2014 Leaf S. That trade in value is not part of the $17,296 so I figure my actual net cost is around $8500.

The title threw me off. "Model S" to me means Tesla Model S.

A less confusing subject would've had something like 2018 Leaf S or 2018 S trim.
