my 2018 leaf portable cable on 208 Volt outlet

Hi

I have a 2018 leaf and try to use portable cable on a 208Volt outlet and the cable "fault" light comes up and will not charge.
When I use the same cable on 110Volt outlet, it works. Is it the cable or the 208Volt outlet? what should I do?

Apparently the 2018 Nissan EVSE specification doesn't accept 208V. You'll either need to use a 240V outlet or purchase an aftermarket EVSE that works on 208V (most do).
