I am tired of searching for a direct answer. I suspect my new Leaf S (without the navigation option) has no telematics unit and I can stop using Nissan Connect on my phone since it cannot connect with my car...correct?

Yes, the S is a stand alone car. No internet connections or any communication... You are better off. That stuff is all a load of horse crap ..... IMO

Thanks for the reply. That is what I figured. I really did not want a fancy car with accessories I would never use. If I want to navigate to an unfamiliar location I will put my old TomTom in the car and use that. I have a 240V outlet in the garage and will probably never use a charging station.

For NAV, I use my cellphone since I have to have the phone (for previous job it was required... ) and map is free and updated constantly and is traffic aware. I really don't see how anyone would want to use the car??
