How much space does a Schneider EVlink take?

The listed dimensions (in inches) are:
Assembled Depth (in.) : 34.3 in
Assembled Height (in.) : 8.5 in
Assembled Width (in.) : 14.3 in
Does depth mean vertical on the wall, and height width on the wall? That's not what I would choose for dimensions, but that's the only way I can make sense out of it.

If that is the case, it looks like the dimensions include the cord hanger. What are the actual dimensions of the box, and can the cord hanger be placed beside the box instead of below it?

The actual box is 12.5 inches height,4.375 inches deep and 9.5 inches wide. The cord hanger can be palced anywhere as long as it holds the cord. see my setup.
