Companies race to make electric cars mainstream
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/companies-race-make-electric-cars-mainstream/

Model 3 ,Gigafactory, Bolt, charging standards etc. Among others, interviews with Car and Driver's Executive Editor Aaron Robinson, who owns an iMiEV, Bolt chief engineer Josh Tavel. Oh, and some guy who claims to have driven an 80 mile range BEV from Mexico to Canada in 2012, a likely story. Name of Tony Williams ;)

One interesting factoid is how much California has spent on EV charging stations to date: $51 million, with another $21 million to be spent in the next year and a half.
